San Francisco Giants World Series Trophy to Visit New York City
Saturday, January 19
Who/What: The 2012 World Series Trophy will travel to New York City on Saturday, January 19 to provide New York/San Francisco Giants fans, on a first-come, first-served basis, with the opportunity to view the trophy.
When/Where: Saturday, January 19
2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Finnerty’s
221 2nd Avenue
Between 13th & 14th Streets
New York, NY
Finnerty's will be opening at it's regular time on Saturday (12pm) with all early arrivals receiving a ticket to be the first to see the trophy when it arrives. Once all early-arrival vouchers are handed out, a line will form outside and will begin moving as soon as all the vouchers are used.
No drinks will be served during the trophy visit to ensure a speedy line.
Fans under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
You will be allowed to take personal photos when approaching the trophy up until a specific point.
There will not be any players appearing at the bar, but some front office officials may be coming.
There will a voluntary donation box for the Red Cross to aid in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Please donate!
There will be clipboards for people interested in being notified about the Finnerty's 2013 Gamebus to Citifield and Yankee Stadium in September. Tickets are expected to go on sale in February/March.
Note: Fans will be accommodated at each viewing on a first-come, first-served basis. An official photographer will take one photo of each fan with the trophy, and the additional use of personal cameras will be determined by the representatives accompanying the trophy based on the turnout of fans. The number-one priority of the Giants is to provide the opportunity for as many fans as possible to view the trophy during the scheduled time periods.
This will be the second public trophy tour held in the past three years. The focus of the San Francisco World Championship Trophy Tour presented by Bank of America is to share Major League Baseball's Commissioner's trophies, crafted by Tiffany & Co., with Giants fans in Junior Giants communities throughout northern California.
